So tiny. I was thinking that, for such a large mirror, even the smallest gear would be at least a half-dollar coin size. Maybe that's one of the reason's the '15+ have smaller mirrors. GM's thought is to not improve the mechanisms but to reduce the mass the mechanisms have to move. Same applies to the thinner body metal. Anyway, not to get off topic. I'll be watching this as my driver's side mirror is a bit clunky when moving.

Alright gang we have some answers on pricing now and the new gear is proven and NOW AVAILABLE !!!!!
Please be patient with me as this is a work in progress and without having a precedent it's a little difficult to zero in on the a number people are comfortable with. What I am trying to do is strike a balance between what makes it worth my time and is still a fair deal for the truck owners. I am also going to do this for the GM dealers located close to me but it will cost a little more for them. I am going to give the Cadillac Forum members a discount simply for being here and sharing their knowledge.

Per mirror
Option 1 - Mail customer replacement gears directly from part manufacturer.
$49.99 - includes 2 replacement gears for when the other mirror fails. http://www.gruvenparts.com/gruvenpar...rror-assembly/

Option 2 - Have customer remove entire mirror and mail it to me for retrofit. In this instance the customer would go without mirror until I can turn it around in approximately one week.
$149.00 includes return shipping

Option 3 - Customer pays a core charge and I send them a replacement mirror with new gears. Core charge refunded when I receive your broken mirror.
$379.00 initial charge. Customer receives a replacement mirror with new gear and gets a $200.00 refund when I receive their broken mirror. Mirror must be in good cosmetic condition and all other features must be working besides the retraction feature. Must have preferred color in stock in order to match what you have. Shipping included.

Option 4 - Customer pays core charge for a replacement motor fitted with new gears. Core charge refunded when I receive the broken motor.
This option is going to require a slight delay in pricing as finding the motors is very difficult. I believe we will be able to harvest broken motors from mirrors once we start into this business.

Additional info:
- We can do business via paypal / check / cash (credit cards TBD)
- Gears are now available and I can start taking orders immediately.
- The gear is warrantied for life and my swap labor for the first 2 years.
- I can be reached at 469-766-2667 or [email protected] or here.
