ATTN: Modders need help

Hello all glad I found you. I have recently purchased an 03 Yukon and while going through some wiring to identify things I need to install a drop down monitor I came across the pictured (part)? someone had made. This Yukon has the factory Bose and at time of purchase someone had already replaced the HU.

The stereo controls, still work despite me not finding any plug and play modules. Best guess someone with some wiring know how fabbed there own harnesses. Looking for some community help to identify what mod was done so I can back track it to stock wiring and move forward.

Any and all help is much appreciated. As a P.S. I did locate factory amp under console and it appears those wires have been bypassed there.

The only way you’re going to find out what was done is to ask the person who hacked up the factory harness. If it were me, I would get the factory plugs out of a wrecking yard so I could match up the wire colors and solder/ heat shrink the wires to get it back to a factory wiring harness, then buy a Maestro to adapt whatever HU you buy to the vehicle. I hate it when somebody does that to a vehicles wiring harness. Good luck.

Thats actually a great idea thank you. Not only can I grab the wire harness but get a good look at a stock configuration for reference. Cheers!
