Ended up getting our Iridium SLT today. It just hit the lot last night.

64,705 down to 53,599 with current incentives. Was low balled on trade initially but got it back up to a fair price that I was aiming for. Ended up at a volume dealer just north of Birmingham so it was luckily not too far from home.

Can I ask how you got to that amount? What you added together to get to that figure?

Enjoy your new truck

hard to tell real $$ discount with a trade involved...I worked for chevy dealership back in the heyday of discount (mid 2000s) and talked to a buddy that is still selling. he said that although they still publish incentives, GM is now more focused on % off, the dealers use it as a guide. GM was offering 12% SLTs last week (advertised on the GMC website) and the bigger dealer here was offering a flat 15% off across the board on all yukons...pricing methodology has really changed

Yeah no prob

Truck was 64,705 SLT 2WD Iridium/ Black Blu-ray rear entertainment 20" rims with rear captain chairs and other stuff but what was listed above were the main options.

Dealer "Bill's Discount" Yukon deal- - $4,624
Price reduction below MSRP- $3,706
Purchase Cash- $2,376

Total discounts- $10,706

OR

You could finance for 0% for up to 72 months but lose a lot of the rebates above. They were able to match my loan rate from the bank so not going for the 0% wasn't a deal breaker at all due to the massive discount on the truck. Disclaimer my credit is over 800 so they were very accommodating and didn't play any games on rates.

That brought the truck to 53999

I asked for $500 less and after a few emails back and forth the internet manager agreed if I could come in that day. This brought the total of the truck down to about 17% off MSRP. To me it was a very fair price after researching the past few weeks..this was the exact truck my wife wanted as well so that played into things.

After that..we decided to head to the dealer to see how the trade would go. I let them know everything depending on a fair price for my trade. Initially they low balled me by about $5,500 less than I was looking to get. After about 10 minutes of back and forth staying firm with my price ( which was quite fair considering condition) and calming letting them know I'm ready to sign now or leave, they ended up agreeing the price. I'm sure I could maybe have squeezed an extra $500 or so on the trade, but I was very happy with the overall deal and they got to feel good about making a little money on the trade.

The whole process was very painless and quick compared to the other GMC dealers I'd try to deal with over the past 2 weeks. It reminded me of my other pleasant purchasing experiences with Toyota/Honda in the past. I'm just hoping this holds up as well. We are loving it so far. It's definitely a leap in technology and features compared to our previous vehicle.

Really nice ride - I have same color SLT with some added stuff for the wintery north...lol

By way of example in Michigan:
Sticker $69,890
Take off GMS + additional $1000 dealer incentive and $2000 rebate purchased in May 2017
Vehicle price after all discounts $60,175 then add 6% Michigan Sales Tax

Thanks! We are loving the color..I'm sure it will be a pain to keep clean, but worth it. Down here we see lots of white and black Tahoe's/Yukon's so it will be nice to be a little different.

Very nice.
Thanks for the info

no problem. I hope the info helps others trying to make a deal.

Gm is not offering any pull ahead offers on leases. This for me makes any other incentives useless
