AUTO DIM Stuck in Dark mode!

has any one had an issue with autoDIM? my rearview and driver mirrors are always dark at night as if bright lights are hitting the sensor. but my passanger side one is not getting dark!

any fixes or thoughts would be great!

First of all, the passenger mirror does not have the auto dim feature. The only mirrors that should dim are the rearview and drivers side mirrors.

That being said, they should not stay dim all of the time. I am not sure if that is what you are asking, or if that is where part of your problem lies? They should change darkness based on the lighting conditions of vehicle headlights behind you.

On my 2000 Tahoe LT I have replaced my drivers mirror twice as the chemical inside blows out the edge and sprays down the side of the body and if not noticed it is almost impossible to remove.Now i just turn of the dimming function at the mirror.

my rearview and driver side mirror stays dark at night with NO LIGHTS shinning. if its a dark road you can forget about seeing out the truck! i dont have any tint on windows other then what comes stock! its as if there is something wrong with the light sensor? its stuck on!
