auto trac lifts

what are the difference between the lifts for the autotrac and the non auto trac and why do they cost so much more? can i use a regular lift on a auto trac truck?

basically the auto trac lifts include the price of a new front driveshaft. have someone watch the front driveshaft of your truck. in 2 wheel drive if it does NOT spin, you don't need a new shaft. if it DOES spin you WILL need the new shaft.

so if my drive shaft dosent spin in my auto trac in 2wd i can buy the cheaper lift

thats how i understand it. the new shaft is to get rid of the vibrations at highway speeds when the shaft is always spinning.
