Hello...I've got a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali 2WD. All 4 shocks need to be replaced and I would like to install conventional shocks/struts and lowering springs. I would like to go with a suspension system like what's on the PPV. I don't want to go too low, maybe a 2/2 drop with stiffer springs and shocks. I would also like to install Hotchkis sway bars.
I have two questions...first, I have part numbers for the PPV shock/struts (AC Delco) and 2/2 drop springs that will fit on my Denali. Would I be better off going with Bilstein shocks/struts and Eibach/H&R springs or are the GM PPV suspension parts just as good? I know Arnott makes a conversion kit that comes with Bilsteins and a bypass module but apparently those particular shocks are not as stiff as the B6 or HD Bilsteins.
Second, I know I can bypass the damper part of the system by wiring in a resistor to the plug that goes into the OEM damper. What I need help with is this...how do I bypass the auto leveling part of the system which has the compressor/leveling sensor rods attached? Will pulling fuse #61 make my dash light up or should I get shorter rods? Will shorter rods disable my compressor? I would like to bypass the system completely and never have to worry about it again.
Thanks in advance...
