Back Again I NEED HELP/ADVICE

I have a 99 Tahoe I had it for about a year have not had anything done except oil changes on time and brakes and rotors replaced, about a week ago she started to overheat and luckily I was less then a mile away from home. Im thinking its a t-stat. So Yesterday I miss my bus to the train station so i drove the truck to the station and she didnt overheat but got close to it(about a mile away). This morning I went to start her up and she wont wake up but the ses light is clicking.... any ideas?

Are you losing any fluid? If she's not losing fluid I'd start with thermostat or water pump.
