So out of no where I was driving down the street and I heard a fuse pop. Turns out it is my fuse to the back glass, back windshield wiper, and the third brake light (i think). I have put multiple new fuses in and they keep popping every time I lift the whole rear gate. I have tried to trace the wire to see if I can find any type of exposed wire or something that would cause it to short out and found nothing. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Check the button for the back glass - if it's broke which a lot of them do, it gets moisture in there and shorts it out.

Look under your applique where the switch is - a lot of time the rubber gets dry rotted and the button falls out - leaving the inside open to corrode.
