I have a 2024 Tahoe RST. The Reverse Camera at night looks like is in Infrared. When i use the side mirrors there is no light to speak of. has anyone found a way to put more light in rear when backing up?

I saw this pop up somewhere recently. Thought it seemed like an intriguing idea. Might be kind of challenging to connect it on a Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon, definitely more so than the trucks they show them on. I also wonder if it might affect the camera a little bit since it would be mounted directly below the camera

My 2007 Yukon XL Denali had terrible stock backup lights, and I have stone walls on either side of my driveway. So, I changed them to LEDs. That change made the backup lights only half terrible. So, I attached a pair of LED strings under the rear bumper, and that solved the back illumination issue.

I agree the reverse lights are terrible
I added 2 slim 6 inch light bar to the under side of my bumper and used the factory reverse lights to switch the relay to turn them on I didn't want to add switches inside the cab
