I changed mine over when I rebuilt the engine last year to the upgrade that steamroller posted. At that time it was a GM only part. It is a small 'U' shaped pipe that basically eliminates the EVO. No problems since. I was told that this is a GM fix/upgrade.
Sunlitcomet might have a tech bulletin on this.

LINK TO SERVICE BULLENTIN! Is that in the tech forums where people overwelm them with NON TECH WRITE UPS?

no direct bulliten on that work around but there are revised service procedure. And I have description and operation details plus diagrams of the evo system including pump solenoid, angle sensor and control module. Would you like them posted here?

The orignal post with the pic seems to be pretty simple and straight foward. But yet again there is no such simple thing on my truck that has turned into sort of debacle!

Just seems you remove the sensor, replace with the hard line...set it and forget it!
