What is the average battery life in 2001 tahoe? I have 257k and am on my second battery.

On my '05, I'm on my third battery in almost 9 years of ownership (I bought it new in February '06). The factory AC Delco, and currently on my second Duralast Gold.
What is the average battery life in 2001 tahoe? I have 257k and am on my second battery.
It can depend on the weather where you live. Cold weather is ******* batteries. Rule of thumb is 5-6 years a battery as long as alt is in good shape and has a clean atmosphere. I usually don't wait for them to give me a problem before replacing them.

Wow, I have always gotten long life out of my batteries. 2000 Jeep wrangler 2nd battery and then there is the Tahoe. I must be due. Thanks for the help.

You can stretch it as long as you want but I personally don't like being stranded if the battery goes bad someplace besides my driveway.
I had my 99 NBS for 11 years and I replaced the battery twice. Bought the truck in 2003, changed once in college (~2006) and again in 2012. My wife's Hyundai van took two new batteries and we only had in 5 years.
