My battery is 1 year old and if it sits for two nights it wont auto start, it tries but no go so I need to go out and start it manually but it still really has to buck down to crank it. What is the proper cold cranking amps for a 2004 Yukon XL Denali? I have an 800amp Battery? Or is it something to do with bad grounding would put a battery stabilizer on it where it can run ground cables to the best points under the hood. Im desperate. Any Help I would appreciate. My battery should be enough to start it with ease after sitting for a week> I don't know?

You need to take the battery and have it tested to see if it's good or not! If it's good, then you have something that is staying on in the truck that slowly drains the battery!

Would Wal-Mart Battery play any role in this. Because that happen to me in the past two years almost to the day and it crapped out had it tested and it wasn't pushing the amps and now this one is playing the same role. Im just Skeptical over the Wal-Mart brand, I like diehard, ever last, or Optima batteries Take care

Once it started for a little while and turn if off and start it again and there is no hesitation, like there is the first thing in the morning

Per consumer reports the Diehard and the Kirkland Signature batteries are the best, Diehard being almost twice the price of the Costco brand. I think they rated the walmart batteries over the duralast ones you get from Autozone. They weren't the best but weren't the worst.

Will have to test battery and starter. When starter starts to short out, cranking amps can start normal then spike to above battery cranking amps. Cold start is the hardest. Maybe you can get replacement battery and see if that solves it. If not. Prob starter. Also possible short in system if you did any electrical work? Does not seem like a fuel or spark issue.

I installed everything listed on my own. I have an Alpine D-310 flip up 7" touch screen where my six disc changer was and its an Alpine DVD player and full radio plus a Navigation and Ipod connection so I can run the iPod through the Alpine. Plus the Pac 7. Also where my regular radio was I installed a Flip up 7" Alpine TV that is only used for the DVD connection, it is plain alpine touch TV where the Navigation GMC unit was that connects to the Alpine for movies device only. Plus I also have a 19" Flip Down TV in the back for the passenger's also ran off the D-310. Plus I have an Alpine IVA-300 navigation that is also ran through my D-310. This is all ran through an Alpine 310 Brain and I have an Alpine Amp and subwoofer in the back of the Yukon Xl Denali on the driver side in the back where it looks like it should have a back sub in the space where it looks like there is suppose to have a speaker and I installed a 10" sub installed. Plus I have a Viper auto start and alarm so I have a lot of pieces that could be draining it. Where should I start?

I think I found the problem. Ever since January I have been running the Denali maybe 20 minutes a day that slowly charged the battery. Over hunting weekend I drove 400 miles each way and ever since It starts sitting 2 weeks I think it just needed a good charging like the 8 hours on the road out the juice back in and I have had no problem again?? Knock on wood
