picked up a clean, like new battery tray to replace my rusted out one or whats left of it. Anybody found a good coating, brush or spray on, that would be good to put on to keep it from rusting out? I've tried some spray undercoating type stuff in the past but it ended up sticking to the battery, didnt really work out like I wanted. Hopefully there are some better products on the market now that would work for this. Thanks

MasterSeries primer and paint. I'm in the process of doing my entire frame, body mount cups, battery tray, rear axle, lift components, etc with this stuff and its turning out amazing. They claim it has something insane like a 14,000 hour salt water life. It was originally designed for bridges.

Thanks for the replies. That nyalic looks interesting. I have some por-15, thought about using that but last time I used it on some clean/painted metal it came off in places. If I could find somebody local that would sandblast small parts I might try it, I know it likes a rough surface to really hold

If you have the room, Harbor Freight sells sand blasters.

I use powder coating on most stuff. I find paint always looks nasty after a while. Sand blast then I send it to my guy. Just did this for my cai intake baffle behind the right headlight, paint was flaking. Turned out better than I hoped for. And the chemical resistance of powder coat is very good.
