Ok, So here goes. I have a 97 Tahoe. I need some help trying to get this battery situation sorted out, I'm trying to do the big three upgrade but it seems i've got to many wires to sort out. This is whats on there now.

What do you suggest that i do? I currently have a side post battery and i was thinking of putting some terminals on it and using one of these http://www.crutchfield.com/p_211BC2P/StreetWires-BC2P.html?tp=708

My brain is fried and i'm frustrated. Anyone have anything as far as suggestions or similar situations?

I had to rewire all of the wiring that carried more than a couple amps in my truck. I just went to schucks, and bought several of their battery wiring kits, a couple extra brass terminals, and went to work. The POS ground strap that's under the engine on the passenger side is the hardest, but probably most important cable to swap out, FWIW. You'll have snappier starts, and your rig will just feel more "alive" after you do this. Don't forget the positive wire that goes over the top of the radiator, connecting the battery to the relay panel. My wire was good, but I had to reterminate the ends.

As far as the glitzy crutchfield stuff- my humble experience is that the better it looks, the crappier it works. However, I'm not a car stereo guy, so big grain of salt with my huble little opinion. One of the other wiring guru's here will be of more help to you in that respect.

Welcome to the forum. :headbang:

If it was me, I would just go and buy a new battery with top and side terminals, Goup 34/78. If you are planning on installing a sound system this is the route I would go. If you just want to help out your electrical system some, rhen I would do what, RMM did and just upgrade you existing wiring, possibly go wit higher gauge wire.

welcome, and here is my input. haha i did this also. and i have some pics :p

i did the starter and the wire that goes to the fuse panel in high current 8 gauge. and the others i did in 0/1. i used 0/1 black for the engine and chassis grounds and red 0/1 from the alt. and then to the rest of my audio. here are some more pics. you can PM if you have more questions...
