BlackBear tune is so close I can ...taste it? Sent in my data logs to justin last night after sum late night "full throttle operation" driving on empty streets, and he sent me the qustionaire form this afternoon, but those who have it , wage you choose for the shifting, it's a daily driver so I don't want it neck snapping but I wanna feel it, plus does anyone change the speed limiter on it or just leave it stock, I know I'll be emailin him a bit more over the next week butjusr lookin for a consensus

Tell him that you don't want the Ford Lightning Neck Snapping shifts. I told him I did NOT want that after experiencing that in my Lightning and he recommended his customer approved 75% Torque management reduction and let me tell you, it's PERFECT!!

justin maxed out the line pressure for my transmission and it shifts hard but not hard enough to chirp the tires. i`m gonna get a vette servo soon so hopefully i can get a chirp on the 1-2 shift. i can`t remember but i think i had 80%TM removed and i think the speed limit was raised to 120 or so. not that i think i`ll ever go that fast.

and if you`re undecided on what octane tune to get, go for the 93. i got the 91 tune last spring and retuned to the 93 in jersey in august. i wish i went with the 93 in the first place.

I did 100% removal or torque management and had my vette servo installed prior to the recent retune. Shifts hard and crisp when I'm on it but nice and smooth under partial throttle. I have z rated tires so I had the limiter removed....only had it up to 120 so far kinda nervous about the rear driveshaft coming apart at that speed. Sure gets past 100 in a hurry tho.

thanks guys, i dont think ive ever taken it past like 100-105 so i might just leave that unaltered since i'd imagine its probly already set to 120 according to the speedometer, right? torque management removal i'll probly ask for 75%, my only concern with that is will it effect driving in the snow at all, might have nothing to do with the other but im not sure.

and out of the shift firmness opts, i atleast wanna go standard but the "firm" choice is probly guna be it, might as well notice it if im gunna spend the money
~Stock
~Standard - Slightly firmer at light to mid-throttle, moderately firmer at heavy throttle
~Firm - Noticably firmer shifts across the board
~Very Firm

You will NOT notice the shift firmness unless you are under WOT. However, the 1-2 shift is a little quicker but not as snappy as the WOT shifting. In town driving, ie. snow driving, it will have little to no effect UNLESS you like to press the pedal to the metal at every opportunity.
