I guess this is where my build thread will go. Really boring to begin with.

Some of the things I have come to learn about her from the RPO:
1. Born in Arlington, TX
2. Gov't Fleet - she has the strobe holes in her taillamps
3. HD Engine Oil Cooler
4. HD Trans Cooler
5. Heated Side mirrors
6. LY6 6.0L fossil burner
7. Off-road Skid Plate
8. TL1 "Grille, Special"
9. XM Radio Delete
10. OnStar Delete
11. Trailer Brake system
12. 3.73 Ratio
and about 11 other RPO codes I cannot find.

I now have XM.

OEM Fog Lamps are on the way.

I am not sure if I want to get a separate monitor for the rear camera, possibly use it as a "rearview" mirror or incorporate with a new audio head/replacement. Any thoughts?

Whatcha got planned for that thing?

3"+1" Rough Country lift
Fab Four bumpers, front and rear.
Replace the flop-down middle front seat with console to accept my commo equipment.
maybe a kick-*** roof rack (for tent or platform)
performance mods - keeping it simple

I like gadgets, but also like things to be streamline and less clutter. If there's a spot where you can inset the monitor and it's functional, go for it, but if you plan on putting in a double-din head unit and it's mainly a backup camera, I'd probably just utilize the head unit. OR, do what I plan to do, and that's integrate an iPad as your head unit, use your phone as a hotspot for internet so you can use Pandora/iHeart Radio/Spotify (no XM/Sirius needed), then get an OBD reader and connect the iPad so you can run additional Gauges on the big screen, read CELs, clear them, etc!

HAHAHA, that's what everyone says... that's what I said! Was just going to do an 0411PCM swap. Now I have a build thread with an LS LQ9 6.0 swap into my 99 Tahoe :happy175:

Thinking of mounting a small screen up high, remove the rearview( useless anywho). If I use something other than the external Onyx excruciating, I have lots of wiring to do...but the iPad sounds interesting.

That's a good idea, especially if the rearview is worthless. I forgot how long the Burbs are haha. Other thing too, you can utilize all of the navigation apps, like Maps, Waze, etc, which are usually better than the navigation the head units come with, watch Netflix... list goes on and on!

And definitely, D-MAX it! My dad has an LB7 with 648RWHP, and an 05 LBZ, but not sure how much that one has. It's not stock though lol
