The upkeep of paint if it's taken off road is a PITA. If you think paint is easier to take care of come and buff the scuffs and scratches from tree braches out of mine. One of the better DIY jobs I've seen, it looks fine as long as it's a color and not just black :imo:

I just saw an old school monte carlo on the road that was all painted in black bed liner. Looked pretty cool, but it looked freshly done.. Wish I did that with my Jeep. Nothing worse than the sound of a tree branch scraping the side of your rig while off roading and you like to keep it looking good while not.

Btw, I think those snorkles are the dumbest idea ever. No one will ever get their vehicles that deep in water. I like the "its there incase water splashes" excuses.. lol

would be helpful a little maybe if you vehicle suddenly sunk a little and you had enough time to get it out before it leaked past the gasket and seals and got in the cylinder themselves. Kill your engine save your cylinders but you have to flush out fluids. I will take that option if I had too.

This guy did bed liner on the tailgate and bumper.... Also the grille and front bumper... Looks awful. I see him in town occasionally.
