I haven't seen too many introductory threads from new members but I felt the need to share. Close to 6 months ago I began considering picking up a Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade for my growing family (17 month old and wifes 23 weeks pregnant). All those soccer moms I see driving these trucks must be onto something...

I had a quad cab Dakota and a Audi S4 as my daily drivers but child seats don't leave much legroom for front seat occupants. I did lots of Googling which lead me this forum and about a month ago, partly due to the research I had done here, I picked up a low mileage 2010 Escalade. The trucks been great and my wife asks to take it grocery shopping and to work every chance she gets because she loves driving it. One of the reasons why she probably loves driving the truck so much is in the short time of ownership I've already added a K&N intake and a SLP rear resonator delete plus earlier today I just sent BlackBear my factory Tune and data-log files to build a AutoCal tune (which she knows nothing about, shhhhh)... I've been a Mopar guy for most of my adult life and I used to frequent the LX forums when the Chargers/Magnums just came out in 2004 (I had a 04 Magnum that I did a little modding to). I spent close to a decade as members of VCoA/VTCoA (Viper Club of America/Viper Truck club) also as I owned both a Ram SRT10 and a Viper for a total of 10 years. I fell off the forum kick a hand full of years ago when I got married and could no longer spend untold sums of money on every bolt-on available for the Viper and Ram (and if you ask I caution you the list of mods to each was longer then I like to admit....). I did sell the Ram back in 08 only to again own 2 SRT's when in 2010 I picked up a 2010 Grand Cherokee SRT10 (last year of the old body style with the infamous cow catcher bumper!!). Then of course once my daughter came along, my Viper was the last remaining toy from my bachelor days to finally see the chopping block (the Jeep went after "Super Storm Sandy" When I learned I was better off walking during a blizzard then driving a smallish SUV with a huge V8).

Its great to see such a collection of first hand knowledge and to be excited thinking about the next mod to the truck, knowing there's a community out there willing to help solve any problem I might have and what else I can learn. These trucks look great, sound awesome and are fun to drive which is odd considering their sheer size. The fact that my wife routinely dumps her 2012 Mercedes C300 Sport 4matic to drive my Escalade is proof enough!! You can tell a lot about a person by 2 things, the type of car they drive and also the condition in which they keep said car..... Thanks for reading and I hope to contribute to someone that might be reading this considering to buy one of these great vehicle's or even someone that's considering one of the few mods I've done so far!!

I've attached a picture of the truck and some photo's I took while installing the intake and the resonator delete...

Good luck with the Escalade! I had a 2004 SRT4, a 2007 SRT8 Grand Cherokee, a 2008 Jeep Wrangler, then a year ago got the GMC Yukon. Like you said, there's a ton of good info and people on here.

Did you get any resonance in the cabin with the resonator delete?
