Mark on a autoride truck the stock springs with my strut mod just rides nice. if you already have the lowering front springs slap them in if you don't like em you can sell them and then mill the strut down still cheap to do.

It is was me I'd probably not use the springs. Keeping it as stock as possible would probably be ideal for the ride quality.

Those drop mounts and my strut mod do the exact same thing. No difference your just relocating the strut mount lower. Doing my mod is much cheaper over $100 bucks cheaper.

Also posted a new thread I did my alignment at 2.75 inches and had room to play. You should be able to get it into spec at 3 inches.

Here check it out

New springs would definitely change the ride.... most likely not for the better.

From my CB Radio.

have em ship the bilsteins to me and $30 bucks around back to you. You will be in it $60 dollars with shipping. Those drop mounts are like $150 shipped that's crazy all its doing is relocating it lower.

Either way lee just hit me up if you need anything.

I DO appreciate all the advice you guys have offered! Wish I had thought of shipping the struts to you before I ordered Norcal - as I live in Canada - Arnott will be shipping to me from their Toronto warehouse (should have them Wed.). I think for now I will just install the Belltech springs as you suggested, since I already have them; I would like the truck to ride a little stiffer, but if it is too harsh, I will look into the strut mod one way or another.

Norcal - have you EVER had someone use front lowering springs who was happy with the ride?? I thought there was actually one guy on these forums that did use them.

Thanks greatly for all help ffrom all you guys!!

Ive installed them on a autoride truck and it is stiffer. Its not that bad though i just prefer the oem spring but the customer said the truck rode fine and thats what matters.

If you want a stiffer ride the springs will do it for you and if your not happy no worries because doing a spring swap is really easy in these trucks just make sure you get a good machine shop if your going to do the grooves.

Here is one customers truck a did a while ago
spindles and springs up front
rear was the 5305 kit
He liked the ride just to much rake for him.
oh and NO camber kit was needed for this drop
