Im brand new to this forum. I just got a 1996 Yukon. 4 Door, 4x4. I was wondering whats the best 4" lift kit to buy is, and everything I need for it. I want to go off roading alot more often now that I live in Arizona. So I generally need all the help I can get to get this Yukon going and have no real worries while off roading.

Budget? There are alot of options out there.

Either Way Id do a 6" suspension. Its worth it while you are already in that deep anyways. Ive never heard anyone say "man Im glad I didnt go a couple inches higher. " :naughty:

i'd prefer it to stay no more 1,500 max but if thata not doable then i have no problem putting more money into it. As long as it doesnt completely destroy my wallet. Now if i buy a 6" lift kit it'll come wuth everything I need to do it right? Im just worried about the brake lines because idk how far those could extend

Best Tahoe Lift

I had a 1996 that I put a Rough Country 6" on and had not one problem with it. I did change the shocks to procomp because I'm a huge fan. I sold that Tahoe and bought a 1997. Bought a 6" Rough Country lift, 5" Superlift lift blocks, Revtek Leveling Keys, and Procomp shocks for the 8". The Tahoe ended up blowing the engine and tranny before I could put it on. If you or anyone is interested let me know. But if you're on a budget, go with Rough Country 6".
