What is that box tuned to?
The amp really wont make a difference in the way the subs sound. It's just amplifying the signal and not a processor. You didnt mention what model planet audio you have, but it will take 2000w (double) to notice any difference in power to the ear.

Seems like a whole lot of marketing hype on the link to the probox.

hifonics rule. i got a brutus bxi2010D running 2k@[email protected] an 18" custom made sub. sub is currently underpowered and can be heard roughly 3 blocks away.
havent had overheating problems or thermal shutdown ever. however they do use a lot of power.

So they use so much power that I would need a high output alt?

lights still do the disco with the bass and the highs, with a 180a alt, yellow top optima and a 2fdcap. need to run a second or a kinetic. also have 100a circuit breaker (no fuses) and depending what im playing i trip that. love the brutus want 3 more to power my sub.
