looking for enlightenment.

I have picked up a longblock, with the heads ported and polished.
other then that its pretty much stock, though I am planning to
open up the intake, and add headers.
I am now looking for the best rotor\distributer for my needs.

this is strictly for commuting, and looking for best performance/
gas mileage.

Kind of limited if you are keeping the factory fuel injection.

You are pulling a 95 and replacing with a 95??

yes, sticking with a 95. when looking at the later years there were a lot of problems with manifold gaskets.
I was also getting a lot of conflicting info on changing from odb1 to odb 2

There are only manifold gasket issues with stock stuff. The aftermarket has some really nice thick plastic reusable pieces.
