Best product to make black exterior trim black again

I bought a can of duplicolor for bumper and trim....this weekend ill be sprayin ....already did my side mirrors and the look great

I know you said, you already had it...but be cautious with the duplicolor...it is a cheap product and does not last.

It wants to wear fast, and it using there clear...it yellows bad.

Look or SEM trim black, it is a great product. Some use the krylon with good results as well.

You can also do BULLDOG, which is an adhesion promoter as well, this along with SEM last forever.

if I paint a car and only replace part of the black plastic I take a heat gun to the old stuff. it will pull the color right back to the top. then hit it with a coat of wizards

Jerry....i did exactly that....hit it with heat first....then paint

As far as the duplicolor being a cheap product i will x2 on thier clear coat. The bumper and trim paint held up great for me.

Be careful using a heat gun on the parts with raised areas like the running boards. I tried it and although results were ok on the flat areas, the places with raised patches looked worse after heat. It turned them lighter instead of darker.
