I've listed my wheels & tires on craigslist and ebay for a few months now, but have not been able to close the deal. I got a lot of interest in the tires which don't have that much tread left. I am wondering if I would be better off going to a local tire shop and removing the tires, maybe the shop would buy the tires and then I could list just the wheels alone for sale. Has anyone sold/bought OEM wheels/tires?

I went to the ups store to inquire about shipping & they quoted almost $200 for 2 wheels & tires from Brooklyn to Pittsburg. How did you ship?

What about selling price? I looked at some ended auctions on ebay and used that as a guage, but how much do you think used OEM wheels can be sold for? I was figuring at least $200 for a set of 4.

I actually traded the rims for an Esky cluster, fog light switch and cash, if u have nothing into the rims just lower the price cause whatever u make is profit then

yeah, I know what you mean. I've lowered the price a few times, and started getting people interested, but more for the tires and not the wheels.

I might try and sell everything separately. I'm hoping somebody is looking for a spare wheel for winter tires.

You live in New York? Save them. Put snow tires on them and keep them for the winter. Even if you don't live in an area with a lot of snow during the winter, I like to keep a second set of wheels with tires. I've had more than one double blow out before and having a second set of wheels saved my ass.
