Beware of Luftmeister magnetic ride rear replacement shocks. I bought a set to replace the rears on my 2016 Denali and they did not work. The shock mounted up fine. But the air line connection would not work with the OEM airline fitting. When I pushed the connector on it the wire clip missed the slot by about an 1/8 of an inch. When comparing the nipple to the OEM shock the Luftmeister looks like it should work but upon closer examination, it is made of plastic instead of steel and the wall thickness of the material is slightly thicker. I tried a lever to help push it on and I was deflecting shock and still was 1/8 inch from latching into place. So these are being returned to Amazon and I have ordered the GM parts for $300 more. Today I was kicking myself for not ordering the GM parts to begin with. I would gladly have spent $300 to not have to do this again.

seems like a pretty common issue for the reviews for the product in question. couple reviews even mentioned how they got around it. either way its actually a common issue with that style of air fitting. each brand that uses that similar style has a different depth for the connection and they can't be mismatched in alot of cases.

The more I've messed with the aftermarket Mag Ride stuff the more I'm of the opinion that either buy GM OE parts or just delete it (and as of right now my opinion there is only use Bilstein 5100 shocks).

I'm sorry but I don't recall where I ordered from. It's been a while and I don't have the order info. It would have been from an online GM Parts source. I think I searched for the GM part number.

Rock Auto is the cheapest place to get the OEM shocks. Just search for the part number that is on the shocks in your truck now to get the right ones. There are a bunch of different part numbers.

I did the AC OEM electronic air shocks off of Amazon for my '11. Only savings over RA was shipping as I'm a Prime member.
If OEM is not available, then I'm forced to have to mess around with the aftermarket.
RA search of the OE part number off the shock got me the current number.

I just did mine and found all 4 on eBay OEM also. Paid right under 1200 for fronts and rear. Just make sure for the rears if you have the air ride to make sure you get the rear struts with the side nipple connections….
