Alright, so I started my big 3 a few days ago (which is a HUGE pain in the ass) and I need a little help. :emotions122:

I have the battery negative to chassis complete, and the chassis to engine complete. The problem im having is with the alternator to battery positive. For those who have done the big 3 how did you do this? The original alt to battery wire has a fuse built in, so did you guys put a fuse in between your alt and battery? I tried doing this and when I went to connect the wire to the battery, all I did was touch the battery, and the fuse blew. Why? Could I be doing something wrong? Should the negative be disconnected before I try connecting the alt to battery positive?

I hope to be finishing this in a couple days and I don't want my battery to blow up or my alternator to crap out!

I can't really make it out in your pictures. There is a distribution block already in our engines? Or you put one there? Should I go and buy a distro block and then do what you did? The thing I don't understand is why it blew a 250 amp fuse when I went to connect it to the battery. All I did was touch it and it blew. I'm not understanding it at all.

I replaced. Maybe I should just add on to it. Also im not sure but I think we had the negative connected to the battery. I'll make sure to not have it connected this time.
