Hello, all.

First time.

As with many of us, I have packed on the pounds during COVID isolation. Unfortunately, I'm no longer comfortable in my current vehicle. I've been considering a new or newer Yukon Denali. And here's where maybe someone here can help me out. Does anyone know what the driver's seat width is? I'm looking for the distance between the center console and the door's inner most part. I'm not looking for the hip room stat from the maker. That's a totally different measurement.

If someone knows or could take a quick tape measure to their driver's seat, it would be greatly appreciated...and may add another owner to your masses. :)

24" from console to door handle. There's another 2 inches under the door handle on mine (2009) which the newer ones don't have (2010-2014). I'm 5'8" and about 400 pounds and fit just fine. Fit ok when I was even fatter too. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the info and welcome. :) I'm 6'3" about 500lbs. 24" is a little too slim for me. But thank you again. I appreciate it.

Or maybe something with a 40/20/40 front seat, if that's even possible these days?

I’m on the other end of the spectrum at 5’5” and 110 lbs, but I feel your struggle. I don’t think enough thought goes into cars generally to fit vast ranges of body types/sizes.

For me it’s my (lack of) height that puts the controls/comforts out of reach. I find it pretty absurd since I’m the height of about half the population (aka women).
