An idea just hit me. I think I'm going to just strip this costing off my "billet" bowtie, take it down to metal (without the rust) and colormatch it. Seems like it'd work to me

that's what i did with my 01 tahoe. Had the billet, but it clashed with so much chrome. so I scuffed it and rattle canned it white and then cleared it

So the next question is once I colormatch the bowtie should I keep the billet inserts in or take them out?
