What if you have a 2018 Tahoe 5.3??? It says only 1998-2016. Thanks, Keith
Because unpredictable length of time needed to gain access to the ECM for the 2017+ vehicles, we are not able to tune them in person. We would tune your vehicle via our AutoCal, that will allow us to see your vehicle data, and provide your custom tune files via email. The AutoCal is the same quality tune as the in person tune. You can also use it to go back to factory settings, and if you add mods, or make any changes, you will be able to receive free tune updates via email as long as you own the vehicle.

Is it free for the previous tuned truck under the same owner? Thank you.
We update our tunes for free as long as you own the vehicle. If you want to get the tune update in person, you would need to email in and let us know. Once the schedule is built for new tunes, the tuner will see if he has space to accommodate tune updates in person.

Thanks for the information. Pardon my lack of understanding some technology but how much does the AutoCal cost and how do you get the tune files into the vehicle?

The AutoCal plugs into your OBDII port, thats how you will record driving data, read out stock tune files, and program in your tune files. When you are done with the vehicle portion, the AutoCal will plug into a laptop, or desktop, via USB cable, it has to have a Windows operating system, and thats how you will send and receive tune files via email. We have step by step instructions that will walk you though the process.

Do you have a 6 speed or 8 speed?

I got my 99 BB tuned about 5 years ago. It sat in a garage for 2 years afterwards do I need to retune it? It still has the strong first gear i remember after getting it done originally.

The BB tune won’t wear off......
but i would, at the minimum change the oil, but you really should tune it up( plugs, wires, etc)

Changed the oil but my mechanic could find nothing else needed to be done. It started first try once I replaced the battery and gas. I was concerned that after all that time with no power computer would default. So far I've put about 700 miles on her since putting it back on the road in Nov 18. Thanks

As Galante mentioned you really can't lose the tune, unless it was flashed over. We do update the tune for free as long as you own the vehicle, but if you haven't made any changes since the last tune you really would not need an update. That being said, if it doesn't feel right, shoot us an email and Justin, the tuner can go over that with you. Do you happen to have an AutoCal? If so we can have you do a quick data log and send that in for him to analyze.
