I could not stand the gold Chevy emblem, it just was gaudy to me, nothing else was gold on the car (except on center caps of wheels)...

I got a carbon fiber kit off of ebay for $7.00 and it looks great on my gray 07 Tahoe. (the kit came with 2 pieces so I did the front and rear)

I found a similar carbon fiber sticker at a local hobby shop for $2.50 that might have worked, it was with the pinewood derby stuff... Not sure about weather-ability tho. I have some darker charcoal pearl paint I think I will airbrush on when my carbon fiber one gets tacky looking.

Well, I tried the white "carbon fiber" vinyl that I picked up on eBay and it looked horrible, so I ended up going with the billet border-less bowties on the front and rear from All Sales Manufacturing. They are p/n 96108P. I think they turned out pretty good and go with the look I'm going for. The last pic is of the vinyl. I know I did a crappy job of applying it but it was just too white to look good...

I took some time trimming mine out, I used a piece of sharp vinyl to push it into the corners on a nice warm day... then I trimmed it out with an X-acto knife... Mine are starting to peal in the corners, but from 5' they still look decent. I think I will paint mine the next time I want to do them.

In defense of the vinyl it was cold and the quality of the vinyl I bought seemed to be pretty crappy. It was really brittle and not very flexible...

The carbon-fiber sticker stuff I got on ebay was ok, it was ok flexible, but it was in the middle of a rather cool summer, I think if I ever did it again with the sticker I would use a hair dryer or a heat gun to help it keep it's shape better.

I have some dark argent pearl paint that I used on another car that would look killer on my gray metallic Tahoe. It would be darker than the gray, so it would just set it off without being Black...

Interested in selling those black inserts?

If you're talking about the stock LT grill with the black mesh I've got some I'll sell you.

I might be interested too if you still have the black mesh inserts, I have all chrome, and was looking at going to a chrome surround with black mesh insert.
