Blacked Out LED Tails & HIDs

i say leave it,

it will look fine when the brakes lights are off, post up a pic with them off, the shadow of the lift gate should conceal it.

and if you are driving away from the sun, the sun can bleach out your tinted brake lights, and make them hard to see.

i followed a truck with blacked out tails a few blocks other day, and i had to pay attention to keep from tapping him.

we were in traffic in Charlotte, and had a 3 car pile up behind me, i keep a 3 ball hitch in my rear, and the guy got a REAL good look at it, his eyes were HUGE.

i would rather have the line of fire, than get rearended by somebody texting, eating, playing with their iPod...and oh, yeah....driving....all at the same time.

I was gonna go with the billet/polished bow tie but I think i'm gonna just color match 'em black.

I was gonna go with the billet/polished bow tie but I think i'm gonna just color match 'em black.

The bowties were off of eBay (fleabay) haha, they were about $70 but they are solid billet aluminum. They look great, and are very solid! I like the one with no border on the rear, buth then again I really like Modded's shaved rear, looks tight!

Agreed! HAHA. One of my BAMA buddies was saying now that LSU's QB is out for the season that they have a straight shot for the SEC Championship, and all I had to say was "how can you say that?" the SEC is totally up for grabs every year! I just don't understand how BAMA fans are so confident?!

His lights are professionally painted, the light output will be hardly less than stock even in direct sunlight. The lights you were behind and could barely see were likely poorly done by night shadz or another crappy way to tint lights.

Plus, the third brake light up top is pretty big...

The line of fire is a hit or miss, but its your truck, if you like it keep it! Don't worry what other people think.

Ha! First off the rear one is different on an Avy, right? Second, I already bought the front polished bow tie... Never opened it yet lol and now I've changed my mind to go color matched with chrome surround with both front and rear. If anyone wants/needs a brand new un-opened polished bowtie, PM me!!!
