Looks pretty good, nothing real alarming that I see anyway. Just out of curiosity, what weight and brand oil was used?

No idea. I purchased this vehicle from a dealer auction. Currently, it's got Costco 0W20 in it. But that'll be changed to something else like 0W40 in the next change.

I used Mobil 1 0W40 euro oil the last couple oil changes. It's technically a 40 weight oil, but just barely, the centistoke viscosity range for 40 weight (at 100C) is 11.1 -14.5, the mobil 1 euro stuff came in at 11.27, so in the range for a 40 weight , but just freaking barely. And that was at only 3k miles of use, i'm sure after 7k+ miles, it would've sheared into the 30 weight range.

I mean 30 isn't bad. Obviously better to have 0W30 vs 0W10(when using 0W20) after 7k miles am I right?

I'd just go with 5w-30 and not even think about 0w oils. 0w-20 is only recommended for CAFE certification and mpg tests in a controlled environment. It's not recommended for long life in my opinion. I ditched 0w-20 at 40k when I bought mine GM certified and have used 5w-30 for the last 115k without a single issue. Just my experience.....

Thank you! I was a bit perplexed to see the 0W20 requirement when I bought this vehicle considering that our previous Ecoboost expedition called for plain 'ol 5W30. So ya, back to the plain 'ol it is. A big N/A engine like this should not be running any "eco-friendly" oil imo. It's not going to turn into a Prius by saving .01 mpg lol.

The first number ( the “0” in 0w40) isn’t important unless you live in a cold climate. The second number (the “40” in the case of 0w40) is the oil weight once you’re actually driving. I live in south Texas, never really gets cold so I don’t care to much about that cold flow/ winter number.
