I have a 2015 Yukon XL SLT with about 94k on it. The couple of months or so the BSM started having a lot of false positives (the mirror light coming on when nothing is there), especially the driver’s side. It began as just once in awhile and has now progressed to every couple of minutes or more. They still always activate when there’s something there, but they are becoming the metaphorical “Boy that cried wolf”.

Has anyone out there had this problem and been able to solve it? Any idea where the sensors are mounted? I want to take a look at them and see if it’s something dumb like dirt or mud.

Thank you in advance!

when this happens it is usually due to dirt/mud, etc as you suspected. the sensors are the left & right side up under the bumper area right behind the rear wheels.
they look sort of like a claymore. you can pressure wash them off, hose them off whatever
