blinker problem

my blinker clicks when the blinker isnt on! so annoying. it seems to happen worse when its cold out. i think it might be the relay but i dont really know. is the relay under the dash? if it is and its black i cant for the life of me get it out to buy a new one. thanks for any help

i have the same thing, i think it's the signal or 4-way switch, not the actual flasher... mine went away on it's own so i have stopped worrying about it.


i had it happen in my grand am and what had happened is the dielectric grease they use for the contacts in the signal switch had bridged the gap and made it so it kind of shorted out, so i cleaned up some of the grease and it fixed the problem.

mine goes away too. but it seems to be staying on with this cold weather. the wife wants it fixed asap, lol.
