Hey what's up guys. Just bought my first Tahoe a couple weeks ago. It's a 2004 2wd. So I bought it with the HVAC fan not working, thinking it was either the blower motor or the fan speed resistor. Well I replaced both of those and it's still not doing anything. Any thoughts? I had a buddy suggest the actual switch today but auto parts store didn't carry it so ill have to figure that out. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated though! Oh and all fuses are good as far as I can tell. Thanks!

You can try a system reset by removing the positive battery cable for 5 minutes, then touch the cable to the negative post to make sure there's no residual power in the system. Turn the controls to the off position first (IMPORTANT!) , and after reconnecting the battery, start the engine and let it run for at least 5 minutes, without touching the controls. The blend door, recirc door, mode door, etc will self-calibrate and the fan should also, if it works. After 5- 10 minutes, try the fan and other controls. It's a computer controlled system, and sometimes it needs a reboot.

So that didn't work, any other thoughts out there? Could the computer have gone bad? Someone suggested the switch itself but I've got nothing for the rear controls either.

I bought a control head assembly for mine on EBay because mine was in Celsius so you can always go that route to replace switches. Also, are you sure you don't have a fuse out? I know of at least 4 fuses for the HVAC: in the instrument panel fuse block there's the HVAC1 and HTR A/C which both just say they're for the Climate Control System, and the underhood fuse block has FRT HVAC and RR HVAC fuses and an A/C relay. The middle and rear controls have to be set accordingly; the middle can cancel out the rear controls if it's set to off.

Yea I've checked all the fuses. Not the relay though. May give that a try next. Thanks
