So, is that the going price to do a rear main seal on a 4x4 Tahoe?Rear main seal in a bottle would be great, but if it sounds to good to be true it usually is! Shops around me want $2500 to do one so once the weather warms up in Jersey looks like I'll be under the truck for a few days....
I thought the going price on the west coast was insane. I'm hearing $1,400 to do a rear main on an all-wheel drive. If you're not in the habit of doing it, it will take you most of a day.

It’s the same for the RMS / rear main seal procedure but they skip the 100k mile service. A cocky Serv Mgr may offer to fix the RMS for an extra $250 while they’re in there.
