So I added a factory VCIM, plug and play with built in Bluetooth antenna, recently from a newer vehicle to give my 08 Tahoe factory hands free phone. It works flawlessly. I want to stream my music though and due to the unavailability of the add-on modules that just do music streaming, I ended up buying a module that does phone as well as stream music. I plan on selling the factory Bluetooth VCIM here and installing the add on module to handle both music and phone. My question is this, where is the best spot for the microphone placement? I am assuming it’s either just above the rear view mirror or right beside the A pillar at the drivers door. Not sure if wind noise would be a factor more at the A pillar. Wondering what everyone here that has installed a mic has found is the best placement for sound quality. Thanks for all responses.
