Hi All. Some of you may have seen I was conducting a beta test for a bluetooth player I developed for trucks and SUVs like ours (2002-2006 GMC). It interfaces with the stock head unit and mimics the 6-CD changer option.

While the test was a technical success, I can't figure out how to market it to such a narrow segment. I know there are thousands of these vehicles out there, but I can't reach just that slice without spending a ton of money reaching people that can't even use it. I have some inventory, but I'm not actively marketing it. That said, if anyone is interested, the web site is www dot tenon dot technology. Or just send me a DM. Clark.

Did you have much success on ebay? Also consider classified type platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, and maybe even Etsy.

It might be a better business model to make them as orders come in, or keep a very small limited ready-to-go inventory on hand until your traffic grows.

Yes, I keep a small number built, and can make more on demand. The marketing problem is that my prospective customers are probably not even looking for a bluetooth player. They would likely be interested if they knew it existed, but unless they search....

I assume you've advertised on the forum under the classifieds section? Maybe even consider trying to become a preferred vendor here so you could post in that section too.

Not sure what your profit margins are, but maybe making it a little bit cheaper would help sway people. The problem I'd see is that people might not understand the benefits of your device and just opt for a cheap bluetooth head unit as a whole replacement. I still watch the 2000-2006 used market and more often than not I see the original head unit gone and replaced with something aftermarket.

Contact this guy, he is a friend of mine. He might be interested in having them as an option on his website.

Outside of that, you likely will need to be a member of some the truck forums for this model years;' trucks. If you have a web presence to which I can link, I don't mind dropping some messages out there for you. If you want to share you FB information, I'll friend you and i vite you to some of the groups.

Good luck!

Create an Instagram account, post some pics of customers who've installed it, and start following hashtags related to our vehicles like #GMT800, #NBSChevy, etc. and post comments on people's posts suggesting your product. It sounds gen-zish, but its an effective strategy a lot of small businesses are using.

Your "learn more" don't have any different visuals. Curious on how it actually connects? On CDX-2 do you have to run wire/connector over to the XM module behind the glovebox?

CDX2 comes with a dongle that plugs into the back of the head unit. The cable that was there plugs into the dongle, and another cable runs from the dongle down to my device in the lower dash.
