Our model trucks show a ton of frame from the factory. Adding a body lift obviously adds to the problem. It can be masked a little with steps PAINTING the frame semigloss black and adding the gap guards. I have been tempted to add one but I can bring myself to do it. Howver it is a fraction of the cost of the suspension lifts.

If im not mistaken they do sell with the body lift kit for the Chevy and GMC trucks these years a rear bumper relocator brackets like the ones for the front that came with the kit when i put it on my hoe. If they do then im not sure why they dont come with the kits for hoe's and yuk's but i might need to double check that.

They do sell bumper relocators and everything but those alone wont make it unnoticable. I believe that the summit bl kits come with atleast one set of bumper relocators. Might be able to find a kit with both bumpers. Another reason I got the bl is because I was 16 (turn 18 this month) and the suspension lift was considerably more expensive.

07burb: You know them crazies, always doin and sayin all sorts of crazy shit! The tube steps and old bumper guard were the only things that werent stock when I bought my hoe. Thank god he put those on!

Yeah i was 18 when i got mine and it was either the same set of tires i had for 800 or a body lift and 31 AT so thats why i got the BL.

Here are a few quick pics of my hoe with the 3" bl on 33s. Right now the frame is rust colored but will soon be all black. And the fender wells have temporary gap guards that I fashioned for the time being (Saving for college)

thats a good looking truck. thats the look i'm leaning towards...all my other vehicles i've slammed, but i want to go a different direction with my tahoe and raise it up. so about the tires...since i've sllammed all my other vehicles, im used to 20"+ wheels with low profiles tires and dont know much about the bigger tires. i've heard the taller tires are alot harder on your rear axles and diff.??
the BL doesnt look too bad. but i see what everyone is saying about the frame, but imo, along with gap fillers and the frame painted black, it would look bad at all

Thanks man! I'm far from done modding it. The bl isn't too bad and will be a lot better with the rest of the stuff i want to do. Yes when you get bigger tires like 35"s or bigger it is important to regear so that you don't tear up the tranny. I have 33"s and do not off road in my hoe so I have not regeared. I don't know too much about it but I think it's only really important to regear if you go offroading. Also, big and wide tires will cause a lot more wear on your steering components.
