Hey guys, I wanted to get some feed back on a body lift. I would like to raise my truck about two inches but I'm not sure what all would need to be lengthened or moved to make a body lift work. Also does anyone make a kit with bushings, bumper brackets, and gap blockers all in one kit? Any help would or opinions will be appriciated.

you thought about 2inch block and crank? truck looks real clean as it is. idk if summit makes a 2inch but i got a 3inch from them for like 170 shipped. the rear bumpers can be rased if you get zone brackets. idk on 2drs what has to be cut exactly off the bracket to make it work. for the 4dr just cut the end of frame horns off and attach the brackets havent had a problem with it

Do a search. Lots of different opinions on body lifts.

I am currently aquiring parts to put a 3" body lift on my 2 door Yukon. I have the wheels and gap guards, and next month I'm buying a set of n-fab nerf bars. Then after that it'll be time for the lift itself. I keep waiting for my current stock sized tires to wear out but they just keep on going. Ill probably have my lift on around december.

There are a few things to consider w a body lift:
-quite a bit of frame will show. Thats why I am buying n-fabs to try and cover it
-gap guards are a must
-no kit comes with a rear bumper relocators that will work on a 2 door. There are a couple of different options to raise your rear bumper up.
-exhaust has to be modified unless you dont mind it hanging down. Same with a trailer hitch and front tow hooks.
-Ive never done a body lift, but most people install it themselves, which saves a lot of money. I plan to install mine myself as well. I dont think I cpuld handle a suspension lift install.

A couple of guys on here have really nice looking body lifted trucks. Check out Raptorforme, Drumrunner and of course Big Blue Bus' tahoes. They all look real good becuase they payed attention to detail, adjusted everything that needs to be raised and closed up all the gaps.

Hope that helps.

bumper raised.. hitch hangs down. think the hidden hitch ones will end up right below or could always cut and reweld it higher dont know how strong it will be then

dont be scared to do it yourself lol i did it when i was 15 with basic tools in my driveway. get a few buddies over to help with the process and you will be happy with the result. few dollars in spray paint or w.e you want to coat frame with and some sand paper to get the loose rust off and bam clean looking bl install and with those side steps will be hard to notice.

i dont have the valance on anymore up front but ive seen people make spacers for hooks to raise them up so they fit in the stock opening of valance. i cut the bottom off mine but then i decided i liked it mroe without.

and with bigger tires it makes the frame showing less noticable if you dont have steps. the stock steps cover them nicely too

Thanks for the input guys. After seeing the pics and hearing all the stuff that will be hanging down I think I might just wait and do a proper lift. I've got n-fab steps on mine so the frame would not show any more than it did before I installed my steps. But the Hitch, Bumper, and exhaust hanging way down would bother me. Big Blue, I am unsure about cranking the keys because I don't want to stiffen the ride.
