Body Lifts... Performance Accessories Vs. Zone

Hello all, new to the forum. I'm about to purchase a body lift kit for my 2000 Tahoe and I've been looking at the PA and Zone Offroad kits. I see that the Zone kit is a little cheaper, but the brackets in the PA kit look a little more sturdy from the pics. Does anyone know any advantages/disadvantages of either kit worth considering?

Do you really want a body lift or are you willing to do a suspension lift too. I assuming you're looking at 3 inch body lifts because I've never seen anything bigger. A 3 inch suspension lift is going to be cheaper and easier to install. Plus with a body lift you will need extensions, I know for sure you'll need break line extensions but idk about others. And you can do the 3 inch suspension lift in your driveway

I have first hand experience with the zone off-road 3in body lift and installed it with ease in my driveway with nothing more than a single floor jack. Have never had any issues with its quality. Kit came with bumper relocation brackets and steering shaft extension. I never had to extend any brake lines (still have plenty of clearance) or even use the extension for the steering column. The bumper relocation brackets do take a lil finagling but wasn't too bad. All installed and back on the road in a day by myself.

You don't have to extend brake lines for a body lift. Install is simple it just takes some time and know-how. I've used both the Zone and PA and I would say they are identical. As stated above, on some models the bumper brackets can be slightly challenging but they aren't bad. Whichever is the better price is what I would go with because they are virtually the same

He might be in the same boat as I am - I've already got the 3" keys/Z71 springs/spacers with 33's. If I want to run 35's, I've got to either do some serious metalwork or add a body lift.

And yes, that's my plan.... I've got the Zone BL on my workbench, ready to go when I need to get new tires!

He might be in the same boat as I am - I've already got the 3" keys/Z71 springs/spacers with 33's. If I want to run 35's, I've got to either do some serious metalwork or add a body lift.

And yes, that's my plan.... I've got the Zone BL on my workbench, ready to go when I need to get new tires!

I was thinking maybe he did but he didn't say he had the suspension lift yet so I was just taking a guess

I had aftermarket keys about 1/2 way cranked, shock extenders and stock in the back. I have 305/70/16's on 10x10 wheels. With a little trimming and work with a Snap-on dead blow hammer I was still rubbing.

I ended up going with a Zone 1.5" body lift for 99-02 Silverado's. Rubbing is gone, but I see a 6" Rough Country suspension lift in my future.

305's on 16x10's, I could see why you rubbed... Tires must have stuck out about 2" past the fenders?

the 1.5" body kit for the silverado have everything needed for the Tahoe too?
