Borla Exhaust Tip on an 07 Tahoe

Hey everyone im looking to buy a borla exhaust tip on my tahoe but have no idea about length needed. I have seen 6, 9, and 14 inches but have no idea what length I need.

What is the difference between a 6 inch and 14? does it actually stick out 8 inches farther??

I just want a tip that goes over the ugly muffler tip that gives it a nice look, i dont want it to stick out 8 inches or anything like that
