Borla xr-1 opinions

hey whats up everybody just seeing if any obs owners have experience with these Borla mufflers they are the oval xr-1 mufflers, model number 40945, I know they are 3 1/2 inch in and out and are bigger than what I need and im happy with my thrush welded di/do muffler, love the tone just a little quieter than I want, and I can get a super deal on 2 of the Borla xr-1 used but in good shape. too good of a deal for me to pass up even if I don't use them lol. but I checked out a lot of videos just not many with them on the 5.7 most people use them on the 6.0 and 5.3 motors. Also wondering about a h-pipe, my di/do muffler kind of acts as one now. when I got my truck it had glass packs on it no h-pipe, I cant really tell a difference do I really need a h- pipe with the borlas for just a everyday driver street truck

I have a borla on my truck, been way too long to remember any of the details about it but it has been on there for 15 years and I love it to this day. Great sound and durability. I live in the NE and used to DD this thing up until a couple years ago.
