Looks like my 2011 SSV when I first bought it. First thing I did was get a smaller bumper, lost the spotlight and get a set of OEM wheels off Craigslist. Roadreadywheels dot Com is also a good affordable option for oem style rims.
Real seat belts are under the side pillar covers. You can have it looking smooth in no time. Get a set of aftermarket shocks for a softer ride and your good.
There will be quirks with this thing but nothing you can't find the answer for in here. I used mine as a family car and it served me well.

Whatever you shop for next, do yourself a favor and get her endorsement before you buy it. Some serious checklist items unchecked so far.

One nice feature of the police vehicles is they always have the Daytime Running Lights disabled. I had this mod done on my new Tahoe. I love it.

you can add the tow package easily from any gmt900 at the junkyard, just unbolt from a junker, retain all the bolts and the tow wiring connector. then swap it on to the ppv
you may need the entire rear bumper, not entirely sure there I believe there (is/may be) some difference in the rear bumper from what i recall. (do your research)
the center console should come from a 2010-2014, although a older one would fit.
wiring is going to be the adventure, otherwise you can use the same interior parts from 2010-2014, including seat belts
otherwise these are great family vehicles.

Well.......... it's like this:

Let's say you're single and you want to buy an outboard motor. You check your financial condition and if good, you go buy an outboard motor.

Now, let's say you're married and you want to buy an outboard motor. You check your financial condition and if good, you go approach your wife about buying an outboard motor.
Later that day, after talking to your wife, you buy a new paddle. You are thankful for the new paddle.
