What dealership do you frequent?

Reason being is that my 2016 Denali has had all 4 Bridgestones replaced and road force balance 4 time and the vibration atill persists.

It's better than it was, but there's still an annoying amount of vinration that just feels like a crappy set of 22" wheels on a crappy set of tires.

My dealer says GM won't let them replace the tires with Michelin's.

How'd your dealership do it?

My dealer initially said that they would only replace the tires with the same brand and model, Bridgestones. I explained that would only delay getting it corrected because when that didn't work I would be back again. They came back after talking with GM and told me that they would replace the tires I could choose between Bridgestone, Goodyear or Michelin. I chose Michelin. When I picked the truck up the work order copy stated what was checked on the vehicle and what was done. It said "Vehicle operating to factory specs, replaced Bridgestone tires with Michelin on Customer Enthusiasm Program." So you might ask about that program.

its not the tires....its the V8/V4....I have a new Tahoe and the V4 vibrates at all speeds and the V8 at 55 and 80 mph....GM has no fix and no clue...They say its a character of the vehicle and within spec...I drive it in M4 to get away from V4 and it vibrates only at 55 and 80 mph...

The vibration at 55-80 has nothing to do with V4 (as you note). Everyone has a theory but there doesn't seem to be a definitive cause/fix.

V4 can be eliminated all together by range device.

Hey guys, I'm new here and looking to purchase a Yukon XL within the next week. Is it safe to say that the vibration issue is mostly with the 22" wheels/tire?

I bought my 2016 Yukon Denali over the Labor Day weekend. It has the 20" chrome wheels with the vibration. GMC has replaced 3 of the Continental tires with no fix. I had my local shop check the balance all was ok there. The vibration is happening at all speeds but most annoying over 65. This really sucks!! heading back to dealer Tuesday morning. This really sucks!! hope they can fix it.

Have you tried moving the wheels front to back to see if the "issues" follows?? Maybe it's a bad rim???

It's awful that people are having these issues. My 2016 Denali is as smooth as glass at all speeds, my 2011 Denali actually had a vibration at highway speeds that I was never able to get 100% gone.

I was on a new section of road tonight about 4 miles long with new pavement. My new Michelin's were smooth as glass. As soon as I got off of that section I was back to the harsh ride. I think it's all in the 22" wheels now.

22's, particularly with magnetic ride are incredibly harsh IMO. With that said, I don't think they are prone to vibration more than 20's? People can chime in but I've seen all sizes complain about it.

Give it a good long test drive before buying. Check for the common issues. Vibration over 75MPH and booming between 25-45.

Don't buy it if it has hints of either. And don't fall for the 'oh the tires just have flat spots from sitting on the lot'.

I appreciate all the info guys. Is anyone having the same issue with vibrations on any new Suburbans? Most of what Im reading seem so far seem to be only the Yukons.

Thanks, the dealer is working with GM now to get this authorized.

Which Michelin's did you go with, the Premier or the Defender?

Does your 16 experience and low speed booming when you hit bumps and on rough roads at low speeds?
