My son noticed yesterday that his right blinker wasn't working on the passengers rear, it was blinking rapidly on the front passengers side. I tested his lights today and noticed that his brake lights didn't work on either side and when you put on the hazards both front lights blinked correctly and the rear drivers side also blinked, nothing from the passengers side in the rear. I checked the lights in the rear and there is no blown bulb.
I picked this up from another post: Check to see if your turn signals and hazard lights work as well, if they dont work along with the brake lights then the combo switch on the steering colum is bad.
Could you let me know if you think this may be my problem and if it is where exactly is the combo switch on the steering column.

What year please? As you describe it the wire diagram shows the fualt is likely in your combo switch or a break in the dark green wire downstream.

Look and see if this pictures are readable to you for some help.

Remove your tail lights and look at the resistors, VVERY common problem and a cheap fix, $30 bucks or less on flea bay.

Where is the dark green wire downstream located and what path does it run. My son had some amps and a sub box with four speakers put into his truck but it seemed that this problem occured a couple of days later. Just wondering if a screw could have been put into the dark green wire or something may have come loose with his new speakers and amps.

Problem fixed

I needed to replace the brake light switch ($13.00). I guess when my son was looking at the bulbs because of his brakes he put them back in reverse order thats why the blinker wasn't working. The brake lights work fine now, the bulbs in the rear taillight are differant 2057 and 2157 I believe. My buddy knew something was wrong with the bulbs because they looked to bright on the right side. Thanks for your help.

the dark green was for the right rear turn/stop lamp but scratch that maybe since both stop lamps don't work I would probably go back to the multiswitch or stop switch.
