Brake Pad Material?

I have black wheels, and I guess that hides all dust.
I'm convinced that brake dust caused breakdown of the finish on mine which is now promoting oxidation and leaking, so black finish might just be fooling you.

If you had seen the condition of the wheels when I bought the truck you wouldn't worry about the dust issue either.

And, honestly, I've never seen a dust issue with these pads, and I've been running them since I bought it. When I switch to my alloy winter wheels (maybe today?) I still don't see dust residue. I consider it a non-issue, especially weighed against (IMO) how well the brakes work in general, and specifically how well the rotors resist corrosion/rust on the non-braking surfaces.
