Okay this might sound weird, but the brake pedal on my 2010 Yukon SLT squeaks when I press it. 100% it is inside and is NOT an issue with brake pads/rotors. Clearly not a big deal, but it drives me nuts. It's especially bad when I drive through my apartment complex with all the stupid speed bumps.

I have tried WD40 and white lithium grease to lube up any pivot point that I could find, but it STILL squeaks. It kinda seems like it gets worse during the winter. I thought I had it taken care of over the summer, but now that it's cold again the squeaky-squeak is back!

Any thoughts on what I could be missing?? Anyone else deal with the same thing?

I have the same issue on my 06. Do you have the adjustable pedal feature? I'm starting to suspect it's that on mine.

My pedals have always been all the way to the bottom. I recently adjusted them mid-way and squeaking stopped for a few days, but I think it's back...(?)

I'm thinking maybe I should replace my brake pedal with the non-adjustable version?. But I haven't decided yet.

Get a mechanics stethoscope and isolate the squeak. Then you can work on attacking it at the source.

Try a better lubricant !! wd40 won't hang on... lithium is hit or miss.

I found this screwing around on the parts web

I've also experienced the brake pedal squeek off and on
I don't know anything about this part. If someone knows , chime in

It's listed as a "brake pedal bushing" on RA

mine did it when I got it.. drove me nuts. like ready to pull the whole pedal box. I was able to spray enough lube up there they it would stop for a few days and come back. adjusting the pedal height would make it go away too. but I'm to tall to drive around like that.

after months of randomly messing with it, I figured out it was the spring. the tang that goes again the metal plate of the box, the tip of it digs into the metal and squeaks. I moved it twice by prying it over to a fresh spot but it would work it's way back. after a few trys I was able to bend up a piece of metal so I could pry the spring tang up, and stick a cut up piece of conveyor belt and jam under there.

hasn't made a noise in over a year. I don't really drive around with the radio even on anymore. I work around so much loud noise I am sick of it. so just turning up the radio wasn't an option haha.
