Okay, I notice my ABS and Brake warning lights on the dash are on but everything feels and acts fine. I pull over, stop, shut things off, start 'er up again, no warning lights. That was last week. Did the same thing again today. Any ideas?

Search the threads for a write up on how to check and/or clear the ecu codes. There should be one on here.......or you can just run up to the parts store and get a shop manual. they're only about 20 bucks, and they have everything you need!

I've got a Chilton't out in the garage, I'll see what I can find in it. Thanks.

Yeah man! That's all you need! Look under "chassis electrical" "engine electrical" or just use the index to find ecu codes.

mine have been going off and on also... it sucks! i've changed brake pads and even swapped out the front hub assemblies and that didn't fix it. now i've been told that it could be a bad sensor or connector. let me know what you guys find out in the book and if clearing the codes works.

I had the battery disconnected yesterday while I did an auxilliary back up light mod. I'll see if that happened to do anything.

I have this happening as well. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't "ding" so loud and for so long. I mean, one "ding" is enough to get my attention but it dings for like 20 seconds. Anyway, I had the codes cleared and was told that it was either the fluid sensor or a bad ground. Well, I replaced the fluid sensor and it still does it so I guess I might have a bad ground somewhere.

If you guys are disconnecting the battery to clear the codes, remember that you have to keep the battery disconnected for more than 2 minutes. I'd say leave it off for at least 5 to be safe. Once you've cleared all the codes, any new codes that are thrown are telling you that you definitely have an issue somewhere. If that's the case, there are places you can go to get the actual codes pulled for free (I know Autozone does it for free). Once you have said codes, you can easily Google the codes and find out exactly what your problems are (if you don't have a shop manual). Good luck! ....and Post up your results.
