My tailight circut board I have replaced as well as the bulbs....the connector plug from the wiring does not seat or clip properly so when I take it apart and get it in there good and tight and think my lights are working.. as soon as I hit a bump I get that annoying fast blinker indicating my light is in-op. Q? If I replace that connector and splice in a new one will this fix it?

Second... I am a couple weeks away from doing this intake manifold gasket, I want to start some engine upgrades but like us all im on a tight budget.. Im thinking about the throttle body riser.. and air intake upgrdes. Obviously the priority here is to keep it running and do the repairs neccessary but I figure while I got the top end apart what else can I do. Apparently I may have a small rear main seal leak also So .. if I really want to get hardcore and pull the engine I may be selling my bike .. in that case If I have to lose that toy my Tahoe is going to get some much needed TLC. What can anyone tell me about doing these jobs?

Splicing on a new tail light connector can't hurt, if you do it right. If you suck though, it will just add one more weak spot to the circuit. I can't speak to your engine troubles, but I think you can do the rear main without pulling the engine, just dropping the pan, and pulling off the oil pump. But don't take my word on that.

The easiest HP upgrade is adding electric fans. It is kinda pricey if you get a kit, but if you put the parts together your self, it isn't bad. This will be the next thing I will do. If you go with a cold air intake system, make sure you get one that maintains a fresh air intake, not an engine compartment intake. Or just get a good K&N filter and replace what you've got. It will immediately help. Hope that helps!! :drunk:

throttle body spacer and throttle body mods do wonders on these trucks, remove throttle body and drill out rivots holding the restrictor plate to throttle plate. make sure you install new rivots to plug the two holes after though or youll rev like crazy at idle.
computer will take a few miles to relearn, but once it does, throttle responce is fantastic.
and yes, make sure you get a fresh air intake, not the so called cold air that keeps filter by hot exhaust manifold, that defeats the purpose.

and for the record, nine out of 10 times, rear main seal leaks on those engines is only a miss diagnosed intake leak, oil from the back of the intake runs straight down block making it appear like a rear main seal

please explain e-fans...easy? I heard you have to make a custom relay to make them work OEM.

they make e-fans as a hole assembly that bolts in, it comes with a wiring harness and instructions on how to do it. thats the easiest way.
you can peice it together as well using a 16 inch fan and yes, you have to run a relay, and get a coolant temp sender that you will have to but in the head or intake (seperate from computer sender) that will send power to the relay telling the fan to turn on at pre determined temp, or by pass all of that and run a manual switch into the cab (not recommended).
the bolt in kit is the best idea.

No where on there says bolt on kit.

Still need to fab up mounting brackets as well as custom made relays.
